Chemistry: the science which studies substances like gas, metals, liquid, etc .. what they are made of and how they change.
Fuel: a substance that provides light, heat, or power when it burns.
Harm: damage or injury; harmful adj.
Industry: the making of products in factories.
Petroleum: oil from beneath the ground, used for making gasoline.
Pollute: to make the air, water, or soil dirty or dangerous by adding harmful substances.
Substance: a particular type of solid, liquid or gas.
Alternative: different from something else.
Renewable: able to be replaced by natural process.
Toxin: a poisonous substance.
Waste: things that are left after something has been used; things that people do not want.
